By accessing and using Civic Command (www.civic-command.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any portion of these terms, please do not use our platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time with 30 days' notice via email.

2. Description of Service

Civic Command is a legislative intelligence platform designed for local government officials, civic organizers, and policy professionals. The platform provides:

  • Real-time legislative tracking across 6 states
  • AI-powered bill analysis and impact assessments
  • Passage probability scoring and timeline predictions
  • Customizable bill tracking and alerts
  • Comparative analysis of similar legislation

All legislative data is sourced from LegiScan and provided under the CC BY 4.0 license. The platform itself, including our analysis tools, scoring algorithms, and custom features, are proprietary to Civic Command.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account on Civic Command, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information: Your account details (name, email, organization) must be truthful and current.
  • Maintain password security: You are solely responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • One account per person: Each individual user must have their own account. Account sharing is prohibited.
  • Notify us of unauthorized access: If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, contact us immediately at wilsons043@gmail.com.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Free Tier: Limited access to legislative tracking features at no cost.

Pro Plan: $300/month for full platform access, including advanced analysis, unlimited bill tracking, and priority support.

  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly billing occurs on the same date each month.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription anytime. No refunds will be issued for partial months.
  • Failed Payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect the outstanding balance. Repeated failures may result in account suspension.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Civic Command for:

  • Data Scraping: Automated extraction of data from the platform for redistribution or resale.
  • Redistribution: Sharing, selling, or republishing Civic Command's analysis, scores, or proprietary insights without permission.
  • Unauthorized Automation: Using bots, scripts, or other automated tools to access the platform outside of normal user interaction.
  • Account Sharing: Sharing your login credentials with other users or allowing multiple people to use a single account.
  • Illegal Activity: Using the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local, state, or federal law.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

Civic Command Owns: The Civic Command platform, all analysis algorithms, impact scores, passage probabilities, custom features, and proprietary insights are owned by Civic Command and protected by copyright.

Legislative Data: The underlying legislative data (bill text, sponsor information, vote records) is public record sourced from LegiScan and provided under the CC BY 4.0 license. You may use this data in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 terms, provided you give appropriate credit to LegiScan.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any Civic Command analysis without explicit written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Informational Use Only: Civic Command provides legislative intelligence and analysis for informational purposes only. The platform does not provide legal advice. Do not rely solely on our platform for legal decisions.

Estimates, Not Guarantees: Impact scores and passage probabilities are AI-generated estimates based on historical data and current legislative activity. They are not guarantees of legislative outcomes.

No Liability for Decisions: Civic Command is not liable for any decisions, actions, or consequences resulting from your use of or reliance on platform data, scores, or analyses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Civic Command's total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Disclaimer

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

  • Uptime: We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues.
  • Data Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, legislative data is sourced from external systems and may contain errors. We make best efforts to keep information current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.
  • Data Loss: While we maintain backups, we are not liable for data loss resulting from user actions, account deletion, or platform issues.

9. Termination

Our Rights: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we determine you have violated these Terms of Service or engaged in prohibited activities.

Your Rights: You may delete your account and terminate your use of Civic Command at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease immediately. Data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Missouri.

11. Changes to Terms

Civic Command may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the platform following the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
